ValTek LLC., a leader in the engineering and manufacturing of high-performance hydraulic fracturing pumps, parts and expendables, has donated $50,000 to the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum, the nation’s largest museum dedicated to the petroleum industry. ValTek was awarded $50,000 at the Daniel Energy Partners BBQ Cook-Off in September after being named Grand Champion of the event. The prize money was to be contributed to a charity of the winner’s choice.
The Petroleum Museum, located in Midland, Texas, plans to use the contribution towards the new Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM) Education Center. The new, 8,000-square-foot building will offer interactive indoor and outdoor learning facilities, which will double the number of student programs offered annually.
