Shell exits Sakhalin-2 gas project

Royal Dutch Shell and two Japanese firms have exited the Sakhalin-2 gas project by selling their stake in the project to Russian state-owned major Gazprom. The latter, on 18 April 2007, took control of the Sakhalin-2 gas project.
