Pump-monitoring system

The new MAS 711 pump monitoring system from ITT Flygt can measure temperature, leakage, vibration, current and power, the running time and the number of times a pump stops and starts. Flygt’s range of large wastewater pumps can now be fitted with the supervision system, which acquires data from sensors and measurement modules. The MAS 711 monitoring system consists of a base unit located in a control panel, an operator panel for interaction and a memory chip located in the pump. The system can stop a pump if certain preset alarm limits are exceeded, avoiding costly repairs. Alarms are listed on a web browser page, linked to an alarm plot function, which can be used for troubleshooting and maintenance purposes. The system can also check to see if servicing is necessary. This function can be activated either on a preset date or after a set of number of starts or operating hours. The data is visible on the operator panel display. The MAS 711 pump monitoring system is compatible with most Supervision, Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
