Petrobras sets new record with pre-salt production

Brazilian oil giant Petrobras has reached two new records in its production from the pre-salt layer in June.

The state-owned company recently reported that its total oil and natural gas production for the month of June set two new records: the monthly record, at 1.35 million bpd, and the daily record, achieved on June 19, at 1.42 million barrels. In addition, operated oil and natural gas production reached a new record of 1.69 million boed.

The company attributes the results to production increase in the new wells in Santos Basin, southeast of Santos, Brazil.
