Producing a range of low-fat snack foods, Berkshire Foods has installed a
Watson-Marlow Bredel pump on its production line to spray oil at a rate of
just 16g/minute. The oil evenly coats the surface of the snack food as the
drum rotates, allowing the seasoning to stick to it. The metering accuracy
of the pump is important in maintaining both the flavour and the degree of
fat in the end product.
