According to a notice issued by the NRC’s Region 1, which has jurisdiction over Seabrook Station and other nuclear plants in the northeastern United States, the meeting which will be held at One Liberty Lane Conference Center on April 26th, will discuss the NRC’s March 5,2011 assessment of the safety performance of the station. NRC staff will be available to answer questions and discuss any issues or concerns about the power station that the public may have and the commission’s role in ensuring the safe operations of the plant.
Nuclear Regulatory Commission authorities will be meeting with the public in Hampton, New Hampshire this week as part of the commission’s yearly safety performance assessment of the NextEra Energy Seabrook nuclear power plant.
NRC representatives that will be attending the meeting are director of the Division of Reactor Safety Christopher Miller, chief of Division of Reactor Projects Branch 3 Arthur Burritt, senior resident inspector of Seabrook Station William Raymond, acting resident inspector of Seabrook Station Joe DeBoer and Nuclear Reactor Regulation branch chief Meena Khanna.
