New SMARTFLOW SWAP Valve materials for IM

Missouri-based Smartflow recently introduced the newest addition to its SWAP Valve offering for injection molding (IM) that employs glass-filled nylon end plates with internal stainless steel disc. The new materials were developed to provide dimensional stability and improved corrosion resistance. Stainless Steel inserts surround the 1”NPT or 1”BSPP threaded water connections to provide rigidity and maintain thread geometry. Stainless steel mounting plates are integrated into the molded valve plates. Locking pin option is available for two-hand operation, preventing accidental valve position change. The new molded body valve provides up to 20 percent cost savings compared to existing material options of PTFE impregnated anodized aluminum and brass/stainless steel combination.
