Nacimiento Water Project

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has announced that a subsidiary company received a construction management (CM) contract for the USD 180 million Nacimiento Water Project from the San Luis Obispo County Flood Control and Water Conservation District in California. Jacobs will furnish professional CM services through 30 June 2011 overseeing the performance of independent construction contractors to accomplish the portfolio of projects described in the effort. The Nacimiento Water Project is a regional conveyance facility to deliver up to 15,750 acre feet-per-year of raw water from Lake Nacimiento to communities throughout San Luis Obispo County. The project includes 45mi of pipe ranging from 12in to 36in in diameter, three water storage tanks, three pump stations, an intake facility at Nacimiento Lake, and appurtenances.
