MM project contract awarded

A significant maintenance and modification (MM) project contract has been awarded by Statoil for maximizing water injection on the Heidrun platform to Vetco Aibel worth USD 20 million. Vetco’s turnkey contract will cover installation of an additional water injection pump, and associated flowlines, and replacement of two existing injector pumps on the installation, and replacement of two suction line pumps, plus upgrades including a new pressurised water re-injection control system. Engineering will be carried out by Vetco from Bergen and detailed engineering at Stjørdal, including procurement, fabrication, onshore testing, hook-up commissioning and assistance to Statoil during the start-up phase. Project work is already underway and it is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter next year.
