IVRCL Infrastructure and Projects Ltd, a civil construction firm, has obtained two orders from the water management divisions of two Indian states. The two water projects have been awarded by the states of Uttar Pradesh and Kerala, respectively. The state-owned Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd has placed an order for a cold-water pump house, cold-water ducts and cold-water channel package for the Harduaganj thermal power plant extension project. The 375MW thermal power station is located in the district of Aligarh. The project is worth in excess of USD 6.8 million and is to be completed in 16 months. The Project Implementation Unit of Kerala Sustainable Urban Development Projects (Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala) has awarded a contract that involves the rehabilitation of the 36 millionltr/day Peechi water treatment plant in Thrissur. It also includes the upgrade of the clear water reservoir and the supply and laying of a 700mm D1 K9 pipe from the dam at Peechi to Thrissur. The order is worth USD8.4 million and is to be executed in 18 months.
