Halliburton names new CEO

Halliburton, one of the world’s largest oil field service companies with headquarters in Houston, Texas has confirmed that Jeff Miller will replace Dave Lesar as the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Miller joined Halliburton in 1997 and was promoted to president in 2014, reporting directly to Lesar. It is believed one of Miller’s fist tasks will include renegotiating contracts with oil producers in a bid to up the rate for their pressure pumping and other services.
