Flow meters for Russian oil platform

Litre Meter has supplied eight of its VFF rotary piston positive displacement meters to the Chevron Neftegas EPC3 Orlan Platform on Sakhalin Island, Russia. The meters were originally specified by Tri Ocean Engineering and FIAS consultants for low flow service on corrosion inhibitor. The corrosion inhibitor required measuring from 0 to 25l/hr with a maximum viscosity of 285cPs at the minimum operating temperature of -45C and the flow meter modules were designed to sit on top of wafers for mounting between 2-inch ANSI 2500 RTJ flanges. Each VFF/LF15/SS/345bar flow meter provided a pulse output to an indicator mounted in an EExd enclosure provided by JCE Group.
