Concentric China, which opened a new factory in Suzhou, has won its first contract to supply oil pumps to a Chinese customer, the Shanghai Yileng Compressor Co., a subsidiary of Carrier Ltd Korea, manufacturer of compressors and air conditioning systems. The oil pump for Shanghai Yileng is manufactured in die-cast aluminium with an integral re-circulating valve to regulate pump pressure. It is used in two types of piston compressors, known as the DR and the Vector. The DR is used primarily on container refrigeration units, as are some of the Vector type, and the majority are exported. Located in Suzhou, the new Concentric factory started production in March 2007 and will eventually manufacture a full range of oil, water and fuel transfer pumps for both the Chinese domestic market and Concentric customers globally. In addition the company will also manufacture integrated front cover assemblies and lubrication pumps for transmission and reciprocating compressors. CNC machines will be added in late 2007 when the plant starts to manufacture fuel pumps The oil pump for the 444 is manufactured in die-cast aluminium with an integral re-circulating valve to regulate pump pressure. The coolant pump features an integral volute cast into the block and is mounted, ensuring the tight tolerances that are required to achieve the most exacting design criteria.
