ClydeUnion supplies pumps for power project

ClydeUnion Pumps Conventional Power business unit has been awarded the contract for the design, manufacture, test and installation of six large boiler feed pump packages for the 1600MW Krishnapatnam Power Project. This project is one of India’s Ultra Mega Power Projects planned by the government of India and is seen as an important building block in addressing the country’s power shortages. The 2x800MW coal-fired Krishnapatnam project represents India’s early efforts to use supercritical technology. ClydeUnion’s scope includes three 15MW pump sets per boiler with two being turbine driven and the third motor driven.
